Microsoft has released a security patch (KB918899) for Internet Explorer (IE) that affects the display of pop-up windows. This patch is prevents ClearQuest from being able to create and modify queries using IE.
When editing a query, the pop up window which allows you to select a field is shown after clicking on the Add Fields button. Users can select the field and the selected field is shown in the right column of the window. After clicking OK to confirm the adding of the fields, the fields are not included in the result set or filter options, and a JavaScript error is displayed.
Microsoft has posted a workaround for this issue using a Windows Registry update to correct this issue. Details can be found at the following Microsoft URL: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/884698/en-us
