Senior Software Engineer (Build)/SCM
Company Job Description
Responsibilities:
Company of USA is looking for a qualified build engineer. This vital position will contribute to the Software Configuration Management (SCM).
1. Deeply involved in the support, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of Software Engineer-utilized servers, code compilation processes, software release mechanics, and source code management for internally developed applications.
2. Responsible for planning, managing, maintaining, coordinating and executing the build process for multiple projects.
3. Regular interactions with software engineers, assisting them in branch management, software deployment and enforcement of software release standards and practices.
4. Some level of system administration is intrinsic to the expected duties of the position.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor degree in computer science or highly related field
2. 3-5 years working experience, at least 2 years experience with Software Build and Integration in a real-time embedded software development environment.
3. Solid, outgoing communication skills are necessary
4. Strong technical communication skills
5. Excellent English skills, both in written and oral
Technical Requirements:
1. Must have Linux/Unix command line experience, and be comfortable using vi or Emacs style editor
2. Must be familiar with basic programming concepts.
3. Knowledge of GNU make or other comparable make systems required
4. 1+ Years Perl or Python scripting
5. Capable of writing and maintaining build scripts
6. Ant Cruise Control
7. Basic Linux System Administration
8. Any experience with AccuRev, CVS, Subversion, LINUX, perl, webservers, Ant, Make, Cruise Control, Luntbuild is added advantage.
